Cairn Geal

There are opportunities to help with traditional crofting on the Isle Skye, overlooking the sea. 

There will be a range of tasks including help with such jobs as fencing, haymaking, planting & weeding crops, collecting compost and seaweed, feeding stock, including lambs when available, and maintaining the general structure of an old crofts and its buildings. 

The surrounding area is rich in wildlife, from whales and sea eagles to more sedate opportunities to seek out the large range of orchids and lichens. There are a variety of walks in the area... but not too many shops nearby.

You will probably need to be registered through the WWOOFing charity organisation (see link below) and make any application through them.
